[pics] Iowa Caucus day was very busy and 17 hrs long. #iacaucus

So the Iowa Caucuses are over and so is my 17 hr day. So not a lot to say about the caucuses cause I'm tired and have morning live shots at 5am. But hope you like the behind the scene pics. Got into some pretty good media scrums today but i still got my shots. :) Caucus day is very exciting if you follow politics. And rest assured this is going to be a fun election season.

Well my first day covering the Iowa caucuses was a long 14hr day. And I'll be up in 4hrs to do it again.

Some of the pics are self explanatory, some need a little explaining like why is there a picture of top reality show dad Jim Bob Duggar (19 Kids and counting on TLC). Well he brought his newly decked out family bus to support former Senator Rick Santorum in the caucus. Jim Bob picked Huckabee in 08.

The rest are some behind the scenes of our day. One thing to note is that now we use a quarter of the space we used to use thanks to technology.

As for the political climate here in Iowa it's pretty low key among the "locals" unlike the volunteers and staffs who would have you believe we're electing a new president later today. It's more like Iowa will thin out the herd as the candidates head to New Hampshire.
My picks for the Caucus:
1. Romney
2. Santorum
3. Paul
4. Perry
5. Gingrich
6. Bachmann

1-2 could flip flop and Ron Paul at 3 could surprise them all as well. But what do I know I'm just photog who's fighting for position among the huge media scrums to bring you the latest campaign video. :)

[Video] Smash and Grab, they followed a trail of price tags to his back door.

A suspect plowed into the Gordman's store at 135th and State Line
after 1 a.m. Dec. 4, 2011. He destroyed the front entrance of the
store, stole about $800 of women's sweaters, got stuck leaving the
store, smoked his tires and took off. He did about $80,000 in damage
to the store. Kansas City Police have apprehended him. When they got
to his house, they followed a trail of Gordman's price tags to his
back door.
